A Team of Brothers Win it all at Lake Jordan. Noah and Cole Godwin drop a 20 pound bag on Lake Jordan.

The first stop of the Alabama Bass Trail Southern division kicked off at Lake Jordan. The Team of brothers, Noah and Cole Godwin, won with 20.33 pounds of Coosa River spotted bass. This is their second year fishing the ABT, and while they are not the first brothers to ever win, they are the youngest team to ever win. They are only 19 and 17 years old.

Their day began on a spot down river about two minutes from take-off. Reflecting on practice they said, “it was pretty rough… we found some fish Friday, caught two of them and left them. They were big ones. We went straight to them Saturday and had a limit in the first 30 minutes. We then culled up until around 9:00 to the 20.33 pounds.” They stayed on that spot until about 1pm and went looking for a big largemouth. With no luck finding a largemouth, they returned to their winning spot and finished the day there.

The spot was a secondary point. They said the spotted bass “would hang out in deeper water, pull up to feed in about four foot of water and drop back down into deep water about every 20 to 30 minutes.”  The point was about a 15-yard stretch they worked with a Rapala crankbait in chartreuse and blue. Some were also caught on a shaky head with a Zoom trick worm in green with a chartreuse tip.

The team said, “we put in a lot of time and have worked hard to learn to catch these fish.” Their mom and dad both said they were really proud of them. Mom said, “she never has to worry about them staying out late at night because they always have to get up early in the morning to go fishing.” They only caught about 15 fish, but that was enough to defeat the other 224 teams of highly respected anglers.

Kenny Smith and RJ Thompson claimed the second place along with the $1000 Wedowee Marine Bonus. They “spent the morning putting the trolling motor down, covering water in the river and fishing mostly current related and deeper type spots.” They said, “we threw everything at them from spinner baits to crankbaits to shaky heads and managed only 4 fish.”

About noon they decided to try to go shallow. When they showed up in their shallow area, there were about four or five boats already in there, so they made a U-turn and headed back upriver. At 1:30, still only having four fish, “they decided they were going hero or zero and went shallow,” Kenny said.

This time they were able to get into their shallow area and use a brown beaver style bait to flip cover. They caught three of their biggest fish in an hour to fill out their limit and cull up to 18.76 pounds and a full bag of spots. They said the fish were really moving up with conditions improving and water temps warming up to 55°. “If they had another hour, they would have really had a bigger bag,” they said.

The plan for the team of Clay Harris and Billy Norwalk was to “just show up today and not embarrass themselves.” They made a short run within sight of take-off and had their first fish before the next flight finished taking off. They found those fish on Friday when it was foggy. While waiting for the fog to lift, they just happened to scan over the area and spotted the school of fish. They “fired at them just to see and got a 3.5 pounder off of it pretty quickly and left.” They felt with the amount of fish and shad that was a good place to start.

Within sight of the boat ramp they finished out that limit in just a short time. The spot is best described as two shallow flats at the mouth of a creek that almost meet in one area where the fish headed into spawn funnel through. They were casting up to 4 foot and working it down to twenty-four foot. They targeted those fish using chartreuse and blue black Rapala DT 10 Jenko CD20 and a Strike King series five all in the same color.  They did try one other spot in the back of the same creek that produced two more fish allowing them to fill out the bag of all spots for 18.36 pounds.

ZWOLLE, La. (March 2, 2020) – Boater George Jeane Jr. of Evans, Louisiana, brought a five-bass limit to the scale Saturday weighing 24 pounds, 2 ounces to win the 2020 Phoenix Bass Fishing League presented by T-H Marine event at Toledo Bend Reservoir in Zwolle, Louisiana. For his victory, Jeane earned a total of $5,911.

The tournament was the third of five events in the Cowboy Division presented by A.R.E. Truck Caps.

“I was in the mid-lake area, fishing ditches and drains with standing timber in it,” said Jeane, who pushed his career earnings to more than $310,000 in FLW competition. “I started off catching them on a sexy blueback herring-colored (Strike King) 10XD, than I went to a P.J.’s jig and a Carolina-rigged 6-inch lizard.

“The key was definitely the 6-pound, 14-ounce kicker that I caught later in the day,” Jeane went on to say. “It’s been awhile since I won one of these. I’ve had a Tour-level win, a Series win, and now this is my second BFL win. It feels good.”

The top 10 boaters finished the tournament as follows:

1st:       George Jeane Jr. of Evans, La., five bass, 24-2, $5,911

2nd:      Dwight Abshire of Santa Fe, Texas, five bass, 19-6, $2,561

Dicky Newberry of Houston, Texas, took home an extra $500 as the highest finishing FLW PHOENIX BONUS member. Boaters are eligible to win up to an extra $7,000 per event in each Phoenix Bass Fishing League presented by T-H Marine tournament if all requirements are met. 9th:       Bradley Mock of Ragley, La., five bass, 10-1, $299

Don Johnson of Lufkin, Texas caught the largest bass in the Co-angler Division, a fish weighing in at 6 pounds, 3 ounces. The catch earned him the day’s Co-angler Big Bass award of $395.

The top 45 boaters and co-anglers in the Cowboy Division presented by A.R.E. based on point standings, along with the five winners of each qualifying event, will be entered in the Oct. 22-24 Bass Fishing League Regional Championship on Table Rock Lake in Branson, Missouri, hosted by Explore Branson. The 2020 Phoenix Bass Fishing League presented by T-H Marine is a 24-division circuit devoted to weekend anglers, with 128 tournaments throughout the season, five qualifying events in each division. Bassmaster Classic Rookie Sensations Talk Top Guntersville Patterns

Bassmaster Classic Rookie Sensations Talk Top Guntersville Patterns

Z-Man® pros Jeff “Gussy” Gustafson and Grae Buck divulge MVP baits for the Classic

Ladson, SC (March 2, 2020) – Long before signing sponsor deals with ace bait brand Z-Man Fishing, Jeff “Gussy” Gustafson and Grae Buck both leaned on ElaZtech® softbaits and ChatterBait® bladed jigs to cash hefty tournament checks. Now, on the eve of the 50th annual Bassmaster Classic, the two talented anglers—both Classic rookies— are configuring potential tournament-winning gameplans.

A highly versatile Ontario based bass pro with numerous international tournament wins to his credit, Gussy has in recent years produced a pile of top-ten finishes on southern U.S. waters. The only Elite Series angler to rock a deep-V aluminum Lund boat, you’ve got to respect Gussy’s style for staying true to his northern roots.

A hockey star during his days at Penn State, Pennsylvania angler Grae Buck qualified for his first Classic after winning the 2020 Bassmaster Eastern Open at Oneida Lake, NY with a Ned-Rigged Finesse TRD™. Regardless of the bite, Buck fishes with an infectious positive energy. It’s an outlook and approach that’s resulted in several wins on the FLW College and Phoenix Bass Fishing Leagues—and the potential for bigger triumphs in the future.

The new Fire Craw pattern ChatterBait JackHammer has been as hot as its name.

Before hitting the water for pre-fishing this week, the two enthusiastic Z-Man pros paused to break down a variety of probable Classic presentations:

Bladed Jigs

Gussy: Obviously, the high water, rain and cold weather could really throw some crazy variables into the mix, but I’m pretty confident in my abilities with a ChatterBait JackHammer. At the 2014 Classic at Guntersville, Paul Mueller set the one-day tournament record, boating something like 32-pounds with a ChatterBait Elite. The big fish track records of both the ChatterBait Elite and JackHammer are pretty hard to ignore.

Buck: Gussy’s got the right idea! My Classic strategy revolves around Guntersville’s giant prespawn females and the lure that consistently puts them in the boat. That means locating concentrations of bass staging in milfoil and hydrilla, particularly milfoil edges or pockets and lanes between the vegetation. Like Gussy, I’ll be targeting those areas with a 3/8- or ½-ounce ChatterBait JackHammer, probably something bright and highly visible. For me, the JackHammer simply triggers the biggest bass in the lake; it’s certainly one of the favorites to win the Classic. The easy-starting blade and its consistent, rod-thumping vibration make this ChatterBait one of the all-time tournament baits, for sure.

Gussy: Have to add that a lot of us will be throwing Z-Man’s new Fire Craw pattern. You’ll see this bright red ChatterBait rigged on the decks of a lot of anglers at the Classic; can’t tell you how many competitors have been asking me to hook them up with this color. Fire Craw JackHammers have become hard to find, though, so alternatives like Spring Craw and Hite’s Hot Craw could also play prominently. I put a green pumpkin pattern RaZor ShadZ on the back for what might be the ultimate big fish confidence bait.

Buck: Worth noting, too, that the other popular bait for working the shallow vegetation at Guntersville is a lipless crankbait. While these lures have a track record of producing here, I think the ChatterBait slides through the vegetation a bit better and simply yields bigger bites.

A swimbait like the DieZel MinnowZ can be a potent presentation for bass using bridge areas.

Swimbaits

Gussy: Another pattern that’s always in play at Guntersville involves bass relating to bridges and riprap around causeways. These areas provide current breaks that attract baitfish and bass, consistently. During prefishing, I’m sure I’ll be checking several bridges for the presence of fish with an Aqua-Vu camera. If the fish are there, you can catch a bunch pretty fast.

For working bridges, there’s no better bait than a 5- or 7-inch DieZel MinnowZ—a really productive paddletail swimbait I rig on a HeadLockZ HD jighead. A crankbait or a jerkbait can also work well around riprap, but for me, the swimbait is a little more versatile. The big 7-inch DieZel could prove valuable this week for big fish.

Flippin’

Buck: Last time I fished Guntersville, I marked a bunch of laydowns in the back of creeks that looked really good. Been looking forward to coming back and flipping a jig with a Palmetto BugZ in these spots. Particularly if weather messes up the grass bite, flippin’ the stumps could become a major factor.

Gussy: We had an FLW Tour event here in 2017 and there were some really good bags caught punching mats of hydrilla and milfoil. If the weather is cold and nasty, the Classic could become a flipping deal. Either way, I’ll have a couple rods ready with CrossEyeZ™ Flipping Jigs—one with a Palmetto BugZ and another with Punch CrawZ. The buoyancy of the ElaZtech material gives these trailers a lot of action and loft in the water. And they’re so durable you can flip with a single trailer, a lot of times, all day long.

The SlingBladeZ Spinnerbait could fly under the radar and play a prominent role at the Classic.

Spinnerbaits

Gussy: This past season, we’ve seen several big events won on spinnerbaits. If the water is dirty at Guntersville, a big ¾-ounce SlingBladeZ could play a role. This is the most well-balanced, high-level spinnerbait out there right now. Certainly, with so many anglers throwing ChatterBaits and lipless cranks, the bigger profile of the SlingBladeZ spinnerbait could make a difference. It’s funny to call the spinnerbait a sleeper lure, but with the right conditions, it just might be a winner.

Final Thoughts

Buck: Fishing the Classic is a dream come true, for sure. It’ll be really fun to fish Guntersville during what should be a strong prespawn bite. The one thing Classic rookies like Gussy and I have going for us is an open mind. We haven’t fished these lakes as often as some of the veterans, but I’ll approach my practice period with a totally clean slate. Almost any bait could work . . . so long as it’s a ChatterBait <laughs>.

Gussy: I like fishing these Tennessee River lakes. You can’t come here with too many preconceived notions, and that certainly applies to the weather. We just had an Elite event cancelled at Chickamauga on the same system a few weeks ago, due to high water. Looks like we’ve got more rain in the forecast, so it could get interesting.

Really hoping to find some green grass in some of the creeks—that could be really important. The fish aren’t making spawning movements yet, it’s more of a staging situation. We’ll likely have guys catching bass way far back in the creeks, while others will be working those 4 to 8 foot bars closer to the main river channel.

For everyone who’s ever fished a bass tournament, the Classic is the goal. No matter what happens, this will certainly be one of the highlights of my fishing career. Can’t wait.

Classic rookie Grae Buck is no stranger to tournament wins and big prespawn largemouths.

Bradley, Greene Survive Boat Trouble To Win Bassmaster High School Series On Smith

Bradley, Greene Survive Boat Trouble To Win Bassmaster High School Series On Smith

[print_link]

CULLMAN, Ala. — In their first high school tournament outside the state of South Carolina, Alex Bradley and Rylan Greene of Chapman High School caught five bass that weighed 12 pounds, 11 ounces Sunday to take home the title at the Mossy Oak Fishing Bassmaster High School Series at Smith Lake presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors.

“It’s very exciting, this is unbelievable,” Bradley said.

Bradley and Greene edged out Brody Hopper and Landon Franks from Cullman High School by an ounce for the victory. The duo sat on the hot seat for most of the afternoon, and Bradley said he was thinking each bag might be the one to knock them off.

With the tournament victory, Bradley and Greene claimed a spot in the 2020 Bassmaster High School Series National Championship. They also secured a spot in the 2020 Mossy Oak Fishing Bassmaster High School Classic on Lay Lake presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors on March 7 and the weigh-in on the Bassmaster Classic stage in Birmingham.

The duo used their experiences on their home lake, Lake Hartwell, to guide them through the tournament day.

“We were out there today and Alex goes, ‘This reminds me of Lake Hartwell,’” Greene said. “That’s sort of what we took it as and went with it.”

The week did not start out promising for Bradley and Greene, however, as motor problems limited practice time Friday morning.

Bradley’s father, Mark, who also served as the duo’s boat captain for the event, actually tried to talk them into going home. But they wouldn’t have it. “They don’t ever give up,” Mark said. “Through all the problems, their confidence was unbelievable. They are just happy to be fishing. It’s unbelievable how calm they stay and they don’t ever give up.”

After Bradley and Greene decided to stay for the tournament, Mark took the boat to Fredrick’s Marine and fixed the fuel pump among other things. With a properly working motor, they took off on Sunday morning and headed to the first spot they found on Friday and caught all of their bass off that one spot  three spotted bass and two largemouth, in 20 to 30 feet of water.

“We caught them mainly on a Senko, but we caught a few on a drop shot and underspin,” Bradley said. “I was dragging the Senko and then deadsticking it, and that’s when they would bite it.”

Hopper and Franks did not practice prior to tournament day, but managed to catch four keepers for 12-10 to achieve their goal of qualifying for the National Championship. They also claimed the Phoenix Boats Big Bass with a 4-14.

Franks said they utilized Ned rigs much of the day, and also caught several good fish around brush and docks using ChatterBaits.

“I honestly didn’t think we would finish Top 5,” Hopper said. “We surprised ourselves. This lake is my backyard, so this is where we come the majority of the time. We knew we could scrounge up a couple fish.”

Eli Stevenson and Ben Freeman from Grundy County High School finished third with 11-15 and joined 25 other teams in qualifying for the 2020 National Championship.

Sunday’s tournament was hosted by the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce.

Tournament note: High school competitors wore small ribbons on their hats and jerseys to support the high school teammates and their boat captain from Obion County who are missing on Pickwick Lake as well as family and friends of those anglers.

Gammon And Terry Win Bassmaster Junior Series Event On Smith Lake

March 1, 2020

Greer Gammon and Andrew Terry of Dickson County (Tenn.) High School win the Mossy Oak Fishing Bassmaster Junior Series at Smith Lake with 6 pounds, 9 ounces.

Gammon And Terry Win Bassmaster Junior Series Event On Smith Lake
CULLMAN, Ala. — Sixth-grader Greer Gammon from Dickson County High School in Tennessee said his favorite way to fish on Old Hickory Lake, his home fishery near Nashville, is flipping boat docks and grass for largemouth bass.

On Sunday, however, he and his partner Andrew Terry, a seventh-grader, used a Ned rig and a shaky head to take home the title during the Mossy Oak Fishing Bassmaster Junior Series event at Smith Lake with three spotted bass weighing 6 pounds, 9 ounces.

“It feels really good (to win). I’m just glad my boat captain can put me on the fish, and I can catch them,” Terry said.

Boat captain Whit Gammon said the duo had to learn how to finesse fish throughout practice and made the most of their first attempt.

“These boys never fish with a spinning rod, so it was a total about face to come down and finesse fish. They did a really good job,” Whit said. “As a tournament fisherman, I knew it was going to be a grinder, and getting something in the boat early was super important.”

Whit said the team arrived at their first spot and within five minutes, Greer swung the first keeper in the boat. A few minutes later, Terry landed a spotted bass close to 3 pounds for their second keeper of the day.

“It took all the pressure off,” Whit said.

Dickson County found two key areas in practice and milked one of those areas most of the tournament, an area about 12 miles from takeoff at Smith Lake Park. The key to success was a patient presentation, Greer said

“(The key was) Dragging it really slow, paying attention,” Greer said. “And having fun.”

Elisha Colley and Ashton Johnson from Sand Rock High School claimed second place with two fish weighing 3-15 and Hank Hudson and Brayden Cooper from the Good Hope Fishing team secured third place.

Colton and Carson Harrell from South Carolina took home big bass of the day with a 3-12 spotted bass.

Sunday’s tournament was hosted by the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce.

Guntersville Hosts Bassmaster Classic Clean-Up Challenge

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. — Just days before the world’s best anglers take to the water to compete in the 2020 Academy Sports + Outdoors Bassmaster Classic presented by Huk, volunteers spread out along the shores of Lake Guntersville to ensure the area is Classic ready as part of the Bassmaster Classic Clean-Up Challenge sponsored by AFTCO, Huk, TVA and Yamaha.

Volunteers from the City of Guntersville, Keep Guntersville Beautiful, Keep the Tennessee River Beautiful, Marshall County, Tennessee Valley Authority and the Alabama B.A.S.S. Nation collected 93 bags of trash from the shoreline around the Tom Jackson Boat Ramp and Civitan Park, site of daily takeoffs.

Conservation efforts are a cornerstone of the B.A.S.S. tradition, and leading efforts to collect litter can have a sizable impact on the waterways the organization and its fans frequent.

“B.A.S.S. was founded on three things: tournament fishing competition, youth participation and conservation,” B.A.S.S. Conservation Director Gene Gilliland said. “(B.A.S.S. Founder) Ray Scott used to always talk about the three-legged stool. This is one of the legs, and it doesn’t get talked about a lot.”

Bags of plastic bottles, cans, paper and plastic trash, tires, styrofoam, a Barbie doll and even a bowling ball were collected in the clean-up effort.

“One of the things that we want to try to do is to improve the resource anytime we have a chance,” Gilliland said. “An event like this builds camaraderie between those participating. It builds goodwill with the communities that host our events.

“Most importantly, it helps us leave the venue better than we found it.”

The next B.A.S.S. Nation Clean-Up Challenge is scheduled for March 21 at Chickamauga Lake in Dayton, Tenn.

The latest information on B.A.S.S. conservation efforts can be found on their group Facebook page or at Bassmaster.com.

Bristol’s Neece Jr. Wins Toyota Series Tournament at Lake Chickamauga

DAYTON, Tenn. (March 1, 2020) – Boater Jim Neece Jr. of Bristol, Tennessee, brought a final-day limit to the scale Saturday totaling 20 pounds, 9 ounces to vault to the top of the leaderboard and win the three-day Toyota Series at Lake Chickamauga. Neece’s three-day total of 15 bass weighing 57-5 gave him the win by a 1-pound, 4-ounce margin and earned him a payout of $40,045 in the Toyota Series Central Division 2020 opener.

Neece left the Dayton Boat Dock Saturday with high hopes. But during the first hour he got worried after only putting one 15-inch bass in the livewell.

“The water came up, and I think the fish just left. They moved shallow,” said Neece. “It completely shut them down. I couldn’t believe it.”

Neece had three areas, all points and breaks on the main river, that he had been fishing consistently. Around 9 a.m. he headed for spot No. 2 near the mouth of Richland Creek. He caught another keeper, and then five minutes later a 4-pounder loaded up on his Zoom Swimmer.

“I calmed down a little after that, but once I got that bite I knew this upper side was going to pay off today,” he said. “I fished two points the rest of the day.”

Neece said that the Zoom Swimmer (chartreuse and blue) was the only bait that he threw all week.

“The only thing I did different is I used an 8:1 gear ratio (reel), which I usually don’t do. It allowed me to keep that swimbait swimming in that current the way it needed to swim. A lower gear ratio wouldn’t allow me to keep up with it,” Neece said.

Neece said patience was also a major factor, especially since he was only fishing two spots.

“My co-angler today got a little frustrated watching me make 50 casts at the exact same spot. But then on that 50th cast I’d catch one.

“I think every 15 to 45 minutes a fish would roll up to feed, and I’d catch it,” he continued. “Then you’d go 15 minutes or even an hour with nothing and then catch another one.”

Neece’s father, Jim Sr., fished on the co-angler side and came in 53rd place. But the elder Neece said it was an incredible experience watching his son climb to the top and hold up the winner’s trophy.

A third generation of the Neece family also fishes competitively. Corey, son of Jim Jr., is a sophomore on the Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit.

“He (Corey) just about won the Pro Circuit event at Rayburn,” said Jim Sr. “He was 8 ounces out of the lead going into the final day on Rayburn. Jim Jr. was 10 ounces out of the lead going into the final day on Chickamauga. I’m an old man, but I think I got a little bit older these last two days. But I’m proud and blessed just to be part of it. To get to fish with him and be a part of this, it’s all you can ask for.”

The top 10 pros on Lake Chickamauga finished:

1st:       Jim Neece Jr. of Bristol, Tenn., 15 bass, 57-5, $40,045

2nd:      Brian Elder of Locust Grove, Ga., 15 bass, 56-1, $14,936

The Toyota Series at Lake Chickamauga was hosted by Fish Dayton and the Rhea Economic and Tourism Council. It was the first of three regular-season tournaments in 2020 for Central Division anglers. The next tournament for Toyota Series anglers will be the Eastern Division opener – the Toyota Series at Lake Hartwell, held March 3-5 in Seneca, South Carolina. For a complete schedule, visit FLWFishing.com.

The Toyota Series consists of eight divisions – Central, Eastern, Northern, Plains, Southeastern, Southern, Southwestern and Western – each holding three regular-season events, along with the International division. Anglers who fish all three qualifiers in any of the eight divisions and finish in the top 25 will qualify for the no-entry-fee Toyota Series Championship for a shot at winning $200,000 cash, plus lucrative contingency bonuses. The winning co-angler at the championship earns a new Phoenix 518 Pro bass boat with a 115-horsepower outboard. The 2020 Toyota Series Championship is being held Nov. 5-7 on Lake Cumberland in Burnside, Kentucky, and is hosted by the Somerset Tourist & Convention Commission and the Burnside Tourism Commission.

OVERVIEW: March is a great month to fish Smith Mtn. lake. Spring is right around the corner! The water temperature has been rising and will continue to make the fishing better! Fishing overall has been good this past month! Water temperature will be in the 50’s to the low 60s. Best times will be early morning, late afternoon and cloudy days. Striper fishing will continue to be good! Night fishing will start to be good.

Largemouth Bass- Fishing for largemouth bass has been good this past month. Best lures will be jerk baits, jigs, swim baits, spinner baits, and crank baits. Points, stumps, rocky areas, shallow coves and deep docks will be the best areas to try your luck. Best depths will be from 2 to 15 feet deep. Remember to take care of the bass and release them! Bass fishing should continue to be good into the spawn. Crawfish are a big part of their diet during the later spring. Bait fish will be constantly on the move as the water temps change.

Smallmouth Bass- Fishing will be good. Best areas will be flats, humps, and rocky points. Best lures will be tubes, jig & pig, hair jigs, drop shots, Ned rigs and shallow running crank baits. Best areas will be in the mid to the lower sections of the lake. Cloudy days with light wind are good times to try your luck! Look for areas with rocks and stumps close to the deep water. Look for isolated rock piles near deep water. Smallmouth bass feed heavily on crawfish this time of the year.

Striped Bass- Striper fishing improve this month. Stripers will be caught in all sections of the lake and in the main creeks. Best lures will be swim baits, buck tails, Alabama rigs and Zoom flukes fished on 1/4 to 3/8 oz. lead heads. Best time to fish is cloudy days, early morning and late afternoon. Night fishing will start to improve. The best depths will be from the surface to 30 feet deep. Live bait fished on down lines and planner boards work well this month. This is also a good month to troll as the stripers can be shallow. The stripers will constantly be on the move. Look for large schools of stripers with your electronics. Look for stripers to be shallow just before dark! Casting to the points can be very productive.

Crappie- Fishing for crappie will be good this month. The best depths will be 5 to 15 ft. deep. Crappie will be found around docks, brush piles, stumps and fallen trees. Docks with brush piles are usually good areas to hold crappie. Small live minnows and 1½ to 2 inch tubes or shad shaped plastic lures fished on 1/32 to 1/16 oz. lead heads will work best to catch crappie this month. Best areas are the main creeks and the upper sections of both rivers.

TIP OF THE Month- The bait fish will start to move to the back of the creeks and the shallow points as the water temps rise. Night fishing will be good. Remember to always wear your life jacket!!! Fishing will improve as the water temperatures change! Make sure your running lights are on after dark!!! You can also hear reports about local fishing on the website: THE BASS CAST RADIO & WSLK 98.3 radio. Remember: TAKE A KID FISHING! SEE YOU ON THE LAKE!!! GOOD FISHING!
