We’re thrilled to kick off another exciting bass fishing season with The Bass Cast at Smith Mountain Lake State Park! Get ready for an action-packed year filled with intense competition and big catches!

Important Tournament Details:

Entry Fee: $105 per event

One-Time Registration Fee: $25 per person

NEW for 2025: All anglers will pay online for registration & entry fees.

Also New in 2025: We will mail out 1099 tax forms at the end of the year.

Also new in 2025: $25.00 Cash-only side pot paid to the top 3.

Tournament Regulations:

Catch Limit: 5 fish, minimum size of 14”

Safety First: Life jackets are required whenever the big motor runs.

Fair Play: The Bass Cast reserves the right to administer a lie detector test at any event.

In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Bass Cast Tournament program, its related events and activities, I acknowledge and agree that:

1. The risk of injury from the activities involved in this program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular skills, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and,

2. I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISK, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,

3. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the tournament director immediately; and,

4. I, for myself and on the behalf of my heirs assigns personal representatives and next of
kin, HERBY RELEASE, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS TheBassCast.com, their officers, officials, agents and/or employees, other, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessor of premises used for the activity (“Releasees”), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property associated with my presence or participation, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
