Mike & Michaelle Kiser are our BIG winners on Lake Norman with 5 bass weighing 19.80 lbs and they weighed the BF at 6.52 lbs1. All total they collected $2,210.00!
Well, it was a bit if a unicorn day on Norman as they were BITING!! We weighed in 147 fish (from 31 boats) weighing in at a total of 410.44 LBS which is an average weight per fish of 2.79 LBS! We had 19 bags weighing in over 14 LBS!!!!! This is the best day I personally have ever seen on Norman period. Perhaps the gentle giant is awakening!!!
On with the show! We had 50 boats register with us with a total of 87 anglers participating. We had 31 of those 50 weigh in and we paid out top 10 plus 5 side pot bonuses.
10th place was the team of Steve Addington and Matt Stout with a total weight of 14.67 LBS for a days total of $60.00. I have your check gents!!!
9th place was the team of Chris Brown and Sam Cole with a total weight of 14.91 LBS for a days total of $75.00
8th place was the team of BryanKim LeFever and Hunter Carpenter with a total weight of 15.36 LBS for a days total of $100.00
7th place was the team of Aaron Digh and Nolan Saunders with a total weight of 15.37 LBS for a days winnings of $115.00.
6th place was the team of Alfred Kiesling Jr and Robert Stiltner with a total weight of 15.44 LBS for a days winning of $140.00.
5th place went to the team of Marc Morrison and Rodney Lambert with a total weight of 15.71 LBS for a check worth $175.00.
4th place was won by the team of Luke Helms and Jordan Baker who brought me a bag tipping the scales at 15.80 LBS for a payday worth $215.00.
I have to say here that I would bet if I told you 4th through 10th place finishers that you would have the weights that you DID have you would have thought you would probably win the tourney. Am I correct???
TOP 3:
3rd place was won by the first of of our two – 17 LB bags which was brought to the scales by Dale Phillips who fished SOLO in this tournament. He weighed in a solid 17.32 LBs worth of fish (3.46 lb average) winning him two checks; for the third-place finish he won $265.00 + he claimed the third place, $50 side pot worth an additional $260.00 for a day’s total of $525.00. Really solid performance Dale!!!
2nd place was won by the second of our two 17 LB bags that were weighed in. This one was brought to us by the team of Jake Monti and Logan Anderson who took second place with a 5-fish limit weighing in at a sultry 17.67 LBS (3.53 lb average) worth of hog meat. This won these two a second place check for $370.00 PLUS a second place, $25 side pot check for $260.00 PLUS a second place, $50 side pot check for an additional $520.00 bringing their total winnings for the day to $1,150.00. Again, what an incredible day you all had. Congratualtions on your success.
In FIRST PLACE, bring to the scales a 6.52 LB kicker BIG Fish along with four of his friends averaging 3.32 lb’s per friend for a GRAND TOTAL of 19.80 LBS was the dynamic duo of Mike Kiser and Michelle Kiser. They decided today they wanted to win big, so they jumped into both side pots which turned out to be a really good idea! For the day, these two won $600.00 for their first-place finish, $640.00 for the $25 side pot top place finish PLUS $970.00 for their $50 side pot win for a daily GRAND TOTAL of $2,210.00! Big congratulations you two. You hit the hardest when you were up against the toughest.
