Matt Robertson wins the Lake Norman Fall Final with 5 bass weighing 16.50 lbs! Matt took home $3,045.00!

We ended up with 22 boats fishing for our Lake Norman Final with the Leaders Steve Addington and Scott Beatie sitting in the first position after they won the final points for the year. Congratulations to you both on the Fall points win! There won a check for $250.00 plus a $100 gift certificate from LEWS/STRIKEKING.

As for the tournament, here is what it came down to…

22 boats entered the tournament allowing for the top four to receive payouts and allowing us to guarantee the $2000.00 check for first place.

4th place was won out of the 3 spots with a total bag of five fish weighing it at a solid 12.72 LBS. The won a check for $250.00 for their endeavors. But wait, there is more!! They also brought me a piggy BIG FISH weighing in at a solid 4.95 LBS for an additional $220.00 making their winnings for the day $470.00. Thank you both for coming out and fishing with us this season!

3rd place was accomplished the team Clancy and Clancy with John Clancy and Jack Clancy who brought me a bag of five fish with a total weight of 13.28 LBS and they won 3rd out of the 20th spot. The 3rd place finish won the tandem a check in the amount of $500.00. We thank you both for your participation in our trail this fall.

2nd place was won by the #6 boat who handed me five fish weighing a grand total of a very nice 16.29 LBS. This fell just a bit out of first place by a mere 0.21 LBS (don’t blame me, I didn’t do weigh-in!!!). Apologies for the near miss! They walked away with a check for $1,000.00 for the second-place finish and they also won the second place, $50 side pot affording them an additional $280.00 bringing their total winnings up to a very nice $1,280.00 payday. Congrats on the second-place finish and thank you all as well for participating in our tournament this year!

And FINALLY, to introduce the winner of the 2025 CATT Championship on Lake Norman.

This angler went out of the #12 spot for the day and won the whole thing fishing SOLO! Here checked in at 4 PM and brought me a winning bag containing fiver very nice fish. He did have a 4.69 BIG FISH which fell just short of the 4.95 winning weight. Nonetheless, he managed to grind out the win with a solid weight of 16.50 LBS!! We congratulate our 2025 CATT LAKE NORMAN CHAMPION MATT ROBINSON who, for his efforts, won our Guaranteed $2,000.00 check! He was also wise enough to get into both side pots which won him an additional $425.00 for the $25 side pot and $620.00 for the $50 side pot for a GRAND TOTAL of $3,045.00 of new pocket cash for Matt. Great day on the water and a GIGANTIC CONRAULATIONS for these accomplishments. Your hard work won out in the end.

This is the last CATT tourney on Lake Norman this year, so I want to take this time to thank first of, my wonderful wife Bonnie Holt who has worked with me on every step of running the tournaments for you all. Her dedication on getting out of bed at 3-4 AM and taking up in what amounts to an entire Saturday to help this run smoothly (most of the time anyway) is unwavering and this is huge because Ms. Bonnie is anything but a morning person! Thank you my love…you are special! I also want to thank all of you for helping make the CATT trail feasible by your participation. You are all great folks who we appreciate immensely. We want to wish each of you a Merry Christmas, Hanukkah, and all of the other possible celebrations for this time of year as well as a great New Year. I cannot wait to run this all back in the spring in both the CATT Trail as well as the Bass Kings solo trail next year. Be well, safe and prosperous going 2026!
