We kicked off the 2026 season for the Foundations Xperts Kerr Trail on 3/22/26 at Kerr Lake – Ivy Hill Boat Ramp.
We only had 19 boats show up for the 1st Tournament of the trail and I appreciate everyone that did show up. We ended up colliding with another tournament going out at the same time do to scheduling conflicts and it hurt our #s a little. I think we are in the clear for the rest of the schedule and I beleive our #s will be back up.
We had a beautiful day to start the season off and the fish bit pretty good but getting the good bites was tough. We’ll atleast for me.
At the end of the day it was 2nd place finishing team in the Points standings from last year that took home the WIN . Keith-Lisa Johnson & Jason Bowman topped the 19 boat field with a 5 fish limit weighing 13.63 pounds. They took home a total of $800.00 for the day. There is a family battle going on in this trail between the Johnson & Bowman team and the Herndon & Brogden team. Herndon and Brogden took home the Points Championship last year and I don’t think the Johnson and Bowman team liked it to much.

They were followed by the team of Brown & Wimbish. They had a 5 fish limit weighing 13.42 pounds. They took an extra $525.00 home with them.
Big fish was won by the team Rawls and Staggs.
They had a 3.95 pound fish to take the $190.00 Big Fish Pot home.
