Kerr Lake April 2021 Fishing Report by Dennie Gilbert

The month of April usually brings rain and water in the bushes. Pitching bushes with all types of plastic. Spinnerbaits, possibly top water and flukes will sometimes work in the bushes. As the month progresses the shad spawn will occur if you’re lucky enough to find it because it’s continuing to move to the different parts of the lake. Some bass will start to spawn if the water level remains steady where you’re able to get to them. Bass will be on the move during this month trying to reach the pockets during rising water and leaving with falling water. Best of luck!
