Fish Monkey Gloves engages south-region rep group Mainstream Marketing

Destin, FL (March 27, 2019) – Fishing is quite literally a hands-on sport. This fact alone helps explain the mega-success of Fish Monkey Gloves. “This past year, sales of our fishing gloves have been off the charts,” says Tim Mossberg, Fish Monkey founder and owner.

“It’s interesting because a lot of customers tell us their experiences with our gloves are so positive they quickly become standard fishing equipment. A little like a good pair of polarized glasses, Fish Monkey Gloves truly enhance your on-water performance.”

Mossberg reports that in its second year of operation, Fish Monkey has already expanded to over 600 doors in 16 countries; sales have grown by a staggering seventy-percent. Responding to his company’s explosive growth, Mossberg recently hired a seventh rep group—Mainstream Marketing— to help meet demand in the southern U.S.

“The Mainstream Marketing team will help support and expand our southern dealer network, focusing on accounts in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma,” said Mossberg. “Their expert staff owns valuable experience in our field and enjoys solid relationships with each of the key outdoor retailers in this region.”

Says Mike Haring of Mainstream Marketing: “We are excited to take on the Fish Monkey brand due to their broad selection of elite-quality fishing gloves. Their understanding of and commitment to exceptional marketing strategies make them a perfect fit for Mainstream Marketing.”

Further supporting the successful Fish Monkey Glove brand domestically and internationally are Alliance Sports Group (East and Gulf Coast), Can-Am Sales (Canada), Ferguson-Keller (North and Central), Glade Park (West and South FL), Tropical Vendors (Caribbean) and independent reps (Central and South America). Distributors of Fish Monkey Gloves include Big Rock Sports, Triple S, Sports Specialists, Robinson Wholesale, Farris Brothers, Pittman Creek and Folsom Distributing.

Fish Monkey’s new Free Style Glove has special non-fraying fingers that can be custom-cut by the anger.

To further support its dealers, Mossberg recently introduced striking new Fish Monkey retail displays. “Our new bass- and saltwater-themed ‘glove stations’ take the guesswork out of retailer SKU selection. We give them a pre-selected assortment of the best-selling styles and colors, such as our super popular Guide Gloves. The displays also give consumers an eye-catching one-stop-shop for the best fishing gloves on the market.”

Alliance Sports Group President Larry Easterwood speaks to Fish Monkey’s proactive strategies. “It’s not unusual to see a start-up company bring a great new line of products to market,” says Easterwood. “But it is unusual when a new company supports that product line with a smart, aggressive marketing program. That speaks directly to Fish Monkey’s success. Tim (Mossberg) has assembled a terrific product line along with retail fixtures and assortments that has been successful with virtually every dealer he has brought on board.”

“Fish Monkey is a very strong brand in the Midwest region,” reports Sean Kunzer, President of Ferguson-Keller Associates. “Initial feedback told us this was a saltwater-specific product. But we’ve since seen big strides in bass, ice fishing and other freshwater segments. Not only do the products look great while providing exceptional sun protection, but Fish Monkey gloves are also engineered to increase angler dexterity, stamina, and overall fishing performance. This level of craftsmanship gives our dealers a great brand to stand behind.”

With twenty different situation- and task-specific fishing gloves, as well as a brand-new sun-protective Face Guard, Fish Monkey crafts the world’s most comprehensive line of premium gloves for anglers. The newest Free Style Glove is the first completely customizable fishing glove, allowing anglers to trim finger-length to fit their preferences.
