Lucky Craft Becomes 2013 League Sponsor – Major League Fishing 12-21-12

TULSA, Okla. – Jack Link’s Major League Fishing announced today that Lucky Craft has become a 2013 league sponsor.

Lucky Craft manufactures premium hard plastic baits. Its American operations are based in Costa Mesa, California.

Four Major League Fishing anglers – Skeet Reese, Brent Ehrler, Takahiro Omori and Kelly Jordon – are members of Lucky Craft’s professional staff. Ehrler was the champion of Major League Fishing’s inaugural event, which took place on Lake Amistad and was broadcast earlier this year on Outdoor Channel.

The league’s next event – The General Tire Summit Cup – was filmed August 27 through September 1 on Chautauqua Lake in Western New York and will begin airing on Outdoor Channel on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT.

The Summit Cup will air six times per week during the first quarter of 2013 on Outdoor Channel, America’s Leader In Outdoor TV. The Championship Round also will air on February 9 at 1 p.m. ET/Noon CT on the NBC network. Subsequent to its airing on NBC, the championship round will re-air on Outdoor Channel the following week.

Major League Fishing’s made-for-television events utilize a format that allows anglers to weigh all the score-able bass that they catch. The bass are immediately weighed after they are caught, then released back into the water. Anglers know where they rank in the standings at all times via real-time leader boards in their boats. The competitors are not allowed to practice before events.

Berkley renews premier sponsorship with B.A.S.S. – Bassmaster.com

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —Berkley, maker of Trilene, PowerBait and Havoc, has entered into a multiyear agreement with B.A.S.S. LLC to continue with a top-tier sponsorship of the Bassmaster Tournament Trail.

Berkley will be the official Premier Sponsor in the categories of fishing line and soft baits for the Bassmaster Classic, Bassmaster Elite Series, Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Opens Series and B.A.S.S. Nation. In addition, Berkley will be the Premier Sponsor/soft baits for the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series.
