PIEDMONT BASS CLASSICS TEAM BASS SPRING MINI TRAIL QUALIFIER #2 RESULTS
Saturday March 1st, 2014 ~ Jordan Lake ~ Farrington Point Wildlife Ramp

The Piedmont Bass Classics Team Bass Spring Mini Trail finally got off the ground Saturday at Jordan! Our January 15th Qualifier #1 was rescheduled to Sunday, March 16th at Shearon Harris because of the snow storm and we almost thought this one was going to be postponed, but the rain and sleet never showed up and we got it
done sending 21 teams to the frigid waters on Jordan!
It was very cold that morning at 31 degrees and it didn’t warm up until after noon and then got up to about 49 degrees. The wind never got up at all which did our angler some good. Water temps averaged from 47 to 50. The prespawn bass seemed to be in fairly shallow 4-6 foot water and about to bust with roe. You had to find the warmer water and spray it with Shad Raps, Jigs & Spinnerbaits to get a hit. All the lakes around here are getting ready to explode…we just need more warm weather to get it going!

Keith Deal & Ricky Kenworthy caught 5 beautiful bass weighing a total of 27.80 lbs taking 1st Place. They also won 1st Place TWT for a total of $804 in winnings. Their kicker was a big 9.37 lb. bass, not bad, but they got beat out of 1st place Big Fish by the team of Jesse Wise and Dennis Alexander (subbing for Terry Hobbs) with a Piedmont Bass Classics record bass of 11.32 lbs. which earned them $210! 2nd Place Team went to the Father/Son team of Tim and Tyler Goss with 4 bass weighing 17.70 lbs. They also won the 2ndPlace TWT and took home a total of $449.
35 bass were weighed in for a total of 157 pounds. This averaged over 4 lbs. a fish and they were nice and
healthy looking. Jordan is doing just fine!

I want to thank all the anglers that participated and all our sponsors that support these trails. Our next
tournament will be the
