The spotted bass record may be in jeopardy. A little more than a week ago, Keith Bryan, owner of Powell Rods was fishing a team tournament on New Melones reservoir in California. Bryan won the tournament with an amazing limit of spotted bass, but more importantly, his kicker fish might also be the new world record for spotted bass. His bass was weighed on the tournament scale at 10.48 pounds which would best the previous record of 10.27 pounds.
