Daniel Gray of PA Wins Mid-Atlantic Divisional on Buggs Island Reservoir – By Stephanie Blevins

After three very tough days on the water in Clarksville, Virginia, Daniel Gray of Butler, Pennsylvania was awarded the trophy for first place angler of the Old Milwaukee B.A.S.S. Nation Mid-Atlantic Divisional on Buggs Island Reservoir. On Wednesday, Gray was in sixth place with ….10lbs. 4 ozs. just 1 lb 9 ozs behind the leader, John Conway of Virginia. But come day two he was able to pull ahead adding 8 lbs. 2 ozs.to his 2 day total weight making it 18 lbs. 6 ozs. This put him ahead of second place Michael Sentore of New Jersey by 1 lb. 3 ozs. He was able to hold on to his lead on day three, weighing in 10lbs. 5 ozs making his grand total weight 28 lbs 11 ozs, exactly 1 lb. ahead of Sentore. Gray said he fished most of the tournament with Texas rigged plastics and goofy rigged tubes. Gray also was awarded first place for his Pennsylvania team. This qualified him to compete in 2014 B.A.S.S. Nation Championship, which will be held November 6-8 on Louisiana’s Ouachita River. Additional state winners were Greg Alexandet of Delaware; Brian Trieschman, pf Maryland; ; Rodney Rice of Virginia; Michael Sentore, New Jersey and Randy Huffman of West Virginia In addition to winning these he also won the $250 Livingston Lures Leader award given to the day two Big Bass leader.
