Abu Garcia REVO Beast Casting Reel Review by: Walker Smith


I try to keep my bass fishing equipment as versatile as I possibly can. I’m a big believer that just a small collection of rods and reels can be used for a myriad of techniques. But—there’s always a “but”—there’s one major exception in my opinion. When it comes to flipping and pitching heavy cover, I use the most heavy-duty, aggressive equipment I can find.

With that being said, I was beyond excited to get my hands on the new Abu Garcia REVO Beast Casting Reel. I had heard rumblings about it for a while, so when I was finally introduced to it at Lake El Salto this summer, I was beside myself. I’ve been using it several times each week for the past four months and I am absolutely in-love with it.
