FLW Announces 2015 Rayovac FLW Series Entry Dates, Payouts and Championship Qualification
21.Oct.2014
10 More Pros and Co-anglers Per Division to Advance to Championship

FLW recently announced its 2015 Rayovac FLW Series schedule with more than $5.1 million on the line in 15 qualifying tournaments from California to New York, plus the no-entry-fee Rayovac FLW Series Championship on the Ohio River in Paducah, Ky.

The 2015 FLW Series features the same great payouts as last year, and entry fees remain unchanged at $1,500 per tournament for pros and $500 per tournament for co-anglers. What FLW didn’t announce at the time was that 10 more pros and co-anglers per division will advance to the Rayovac FLW Series Championship in 2015.

Instead of limiting the championship field to the top 30 pros and co-anglers from each division as in 2014, FLW will advance the top 40 pros and co-anglers who fished all three qualifiers in each division to the 2015 FLW Series Championship for a shot at winning $95,000 on the pro side, including a Ranger Z518C, and $32,000 as a co-angler. The top five pros at the championship, along with the next-highest-finishing pro from each division based on his or her performance in the championship, will advance to the 2016 Forrest Wood Cup for a total of 10 pros advancing from the FLW Series Championship to the Cup for a shot at winning $500,000, the biggest payday in bass fishing. No other circuit offers higher pro and co-angler awards for a lower entry fee.

Schedule Changes

To better serve anglers who wish to supplement their FLW Series schedule with other tournaments, FLW worked with its hosts to move the Central Division Lake Dardanelle tournament from Sept. 10-12, as originally announced, to Aug. 13-15, and the Northern Division Lake Champlain tournament from July 9-11 to July 30-Aug. 1.

“These changes, which are in the best interest of the bass-fishing community as a whole, allow us to avoid some conflicts with B.A.S.S. Open tournaments that were announced after the FLW Series schedule was released,” says FLW Series Tournament Director Ron Lappin. “Our goal is to avoid conflicts whenever possible to maximize the opportunities for tournament anglers and host communities that rely on tournaments for significant economic impact. Conflicts are never in anyone’s best interest.”

Registration Dates

Registration for the 2015 season opens Wednesday, Oct. 22 for the top 40 pros and co-anglers from each division of the 2014 FLW Series and the top 40 boaters and co-anglers from each division of the 2014 Walmart Bass Fishing League. These anglers have until Nov. 10, 2014 to secure their priority entry. Ranger boat owners may register beginning Nov. 11, 2014, followed by TBF members on Nov. 12, 2014. All other entries will be accepted beginning Nov. 13, 2014. Qualified anglers can register at Fishflw.com or by calling 270.252.1000. Phones are open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday.
