HART’S CUSTOM SETS-CASHION FISHING RODS SPRING TEAM TOURNAMENT BASS TRAIL CHAMPIONSHIP

Saturday May 18th, 2019 ~  ~ Falls Lake ~ ~ Ledge Rock Wildlife Ramp
Finally the weather was absolutely great! 39 of the 41 qualified teams arrived for the Hart’s Custom Sets-Cashion Fishing Rods Spring Team Tournament Bass Trail Championship at Falls Lake. Temps ranged from 72 to 89 with light winds. Lake level was about 6″ below normal and the surface water temps were around 82 degrees. Only the full moon hindered the bite but it was still good. Hotdog cookout followed!! Great fishing, weather and fun!!! 

The team of Michael Cook (L) & Chris Turbyfill finally got the 5 good bass they needed weighing a total of 21.37 lbs. to take 1st Place and 1st Place TWT for a total of $6,015 inprize money including 2 nice Cashion custom rods!
 
The 2nd Place team of Jaime Fajardo (R) & Josh Hooks also had a 5 fish limit of bass weighing 19.32 lbs. and along with winning the 2nd Place TWT and the Points Title, they took home $2,371 in winnings including 2 nice Cashion
custom rods!

The 3rd Place Team Jerry Marshburn, (fishing without his regular partner Rick Ohlson),  had 5 bass weighing 18.63 lbs. and also the 1st Place Big Fish (7.85) taking home $1,076 in winnings. 52 bass were brought to the scales by 36 of the 39 teams! Top water lures, shallow running crankbaits, worm rigs, chatterbaits, jigs & spinnerbaits in the more shallow 3 to 6′ of water seemed to be the lures of choice.

I want to thank Hart’s Custom Sets and Cashion Fishing Rods and all the anglers that participated.Our next tournament will be the 2019 PBC Academy Sports & Outdoors $10,000 Spring Team Bass Trail Final Qualifier #7 , Saturday June 1st also at Falls Lake out of Ledge Rock Wildlife Ramp.
